while many parts of the country are waiting on summer and all the rituals that go with it, here in
the coastal south, we are struggling with record heat and no rain.  we are being forced to adapt
our early summer rituals to include highs in the 100's and the humidity haze has already set in heavy.
luckily the evenings are still bearable and so for now we will take what we can get.

finally.
i can't wait to stay up late,
sleep in ,
swim,
read,
spend the day in the sand,
go on road trips,
fish and crab,
have lazy days with friends and cocktails,
stay in my pajamas,
shop markets and antique malls,
eat when we are hungry not when our schedule allows us,
and learn to listen to my heart and not my head.
